Birthday Binge (We Are Your Friends)

So, my birthday was this past wednesday and I celebrated out at my favorite club in Ybor, Czar. The day before I celebrated on my friend T.J.'s bathroom floor much to my chagrin. My stomach still isn't too happy with all that I've put it through this week but at least I'm taking a break tonight.

2 Away From 69 Without 1

There I am, at Czar, one year older and looking pretty polluted. It was pretty rad, but not too many people showed up since it was on a wednesday night. All my other birthdays have been much better so I will continue to celebrate until I am satisfied! I really want to go to Walt Disney World this coming weekend (No lie, it is the happiest place on earth). I even have a few new CDs to listen to on the way. (Emilie Autumn - Opheliac, Alesana - On Frail Wings Of Vanity And Wax, Alesana - The Emptiness and Blaqk Audio - CexCells).

Anyway, there is a song by Justice that makes my heart soar called "We Are Your Friends". Everytime I hear it at Czar I look around at all my friends and all the strangers and smile. These are my friends. This was my nineteenth birthday.

Toasted

Within our circle of "philosophers" we always strive to make every day an adventure. Try making a boring night in a little more fun, like we did in January 2009...

GETTING TOASTED

First, gather twigs, leaves, newspaper, bits of left over Christmas tree and stones. Set the stones in a circle and put all the leaves and newspaper in the middle. Call a close friend or two to come over. Bring out the marshmallows, chocolates and sticks. Have your friends bring hot chocolate or tea. Matches work best for lighting the fire. Put on some quiet and soothing instrumental music, nothing that will distract away from the conversation. Then just spend the evening catching up with your friends, talking about life and relaxing. Keep some water nearby in case you need to put the fire out. Have fun! (And be careful!)
